The Stables Bar Restaurant

Created from the Hall's original stables block, the Stables Bar Restaurant draws on a horse racing theme to provide a truly unique setting. Its rustic charm belies the exciting contemporary cuisine that draws a wide audience from across the North West.

Head Chef Jamie Hopkins and his team create stylish, exciting and innovative dishes with an emphasis on local produce, including eggs from our village, smoked fish from Llandudno and beef from a Limousin herd just a few miles away at Cilcain. The Stables offers a range of hot and cold light meals at lunchtime along with a range of delicious open sandwiches, while in the evenings we offer a seasonal A La Carte menu and on Sunday lunch times our famous traditional roasts.

Uniquely, we have no wine list - instead diners can browse our wine shop to find the ideal complement to their meal. All the best vineyards and both ends of the price spectrum are represented, but we specialise in South African wines - particularly those from the Stellenbosch region. These wines, which John & Rosemary Rodenhurst have personally chosen for your enjoyment, are particularly special as often they have been sourced and imported direct from the vineyard and are not commonly available in the UK. We also have ten wines available by the glass if you don't fancy a bottle, as well as a range of real ales from prize winning breweries.

Whether you want to relax in front of a roaring log fire with the papers and a glass of wine, spend the afternoon dining alfresco in our gardens, or bring your friends, work colleagues or family for an informal meal or celebration - the Stables will offer you a warm welcome.

The Stables is open 7 days a week from 12 noon, serving food all day with the last food order at 9.30 pm (later at weekends - please ask for details).
